Leaders record biggest win of the season to give goal difference added punch.

IF it comes down to goal difference on the final day of the season, Braunton’s 10-0 drubbing of Dolton on Saturday could have real significance.

The league leader’s biggest win of the season saw them notch up an impressive plus-82 goal difference – 18 more than closest rivals Boca Seniors.

Mark Gilfillan scored four to take his tally for the season to an impressive 20 goals in 16 starts.

Sam Box hit a hat-trick to make it 24 goals in 24 starts, while a brace from Russell Harrison sealed the fate for the Rangers.

Braunton’s lead at the top of the Premier table is now six points, although second-placed Boca Seniors have three games in hand.

Braunton take a four-match winning run to North Molton tonight (Wednesday), while Boca travel to Torrington tomorrow night.

The two will meet for a potential title-decider at the Tarka Tennis Centre on Tuesday night, kick-off 6.15pm.

Torrington moved up to third on goal difference with Bideford after they overcame Torridgeside 5-3.

Bideford were beaten 2-0 at Bradworthy.

Fremington made it two wins from two with a 6-1 at home to relegation threatened Georgeham & Croyde.

In other Saturday results, Appledore Reserves beat Shebbear United 2-1 and North Molton won 3-1 at Chittlehampton.

On Sunday, Bradworthy and Appledore Reserves drew 0-0.
