Braunton Reserves 4-2 Anchor Chiefs

BRAUNTON Reserves won their second cup semi-final of the week with a 4-2 win over Anchor Chiefs seeing them through to the Holman Cup final.

Last season’s beaten finalists Braunton were dominant from the off at Mill Road, forcing 18 first half corners, but found themselves behind when Matt Cloak struck for Chiefs.

But Braunton continued to pile on the pressure and were level before half time when Tom Hunnibell headed past Chiefs ‘keeper Mark Tattersall.

Braunton made a few tactical changes at half time which certainly had the desired effect, with an Alan Woodcock brace putting them 3-1 up.

Dan Crocombe then made it four, before a late strike from Chiefs made it 4-2.

Braunton will face the winner of Park United v North Molton Reserves in the final on April 21.
