Bideford Blues U11 overcome top Devon sides to win in Plymouth

BIDEFORD Blues U11s got the better of a number of Devon academy teams to lift the cup at Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park this week.

The young team battled through to win the tournament by beating Copplestone 4-3 after extra time in the final, with the winner coming from Logan White.

The Blues topped their group, before recording 4-0 wins in their quarter final and semi final matches to set up a tight final.

Coach Ross Drury said: “I’m really chuffed with the lads. After having such a successful season with our league win in the Exeter League and semi final appearance in the cup we have started our summer tournaments with a huge win at such a big tournament - hopefully we can drive on from here.”
