Bideford 4-3 Redditch United
BIDEFORD got back to winning ways with a thrilling 4-3 win over Redditch United on Saturday.
The Robins have been short on goals in recent weeks, but had no such problems this weekend, securing an important three points as they count down the games until the end of the season.
Hylton put the visitors in front on the half hour mark, but Bideford were level just eight minutes later when Kev Squire found the net.
Bideford were never behind again from that point on, and took a big step towards securing the three points straight after half time.
Ethan Phillips cracked his shot in from 25 yards to give the hosts the lead for the first time in the 47th minute, before Craig Duff managed to poke in a minute later to extend the advantage.
Things settled down again until the last 10 minutes, when a goal from Sammons gave Redditch renewed hope of coming away with a result.
But Duff popped up to head in his second of the afternoon only two minutes later, before a 90th minute consolation from Hylton completed the scoring at 4-3.
The win keeps Bideford eighth, seven points outside of the play-off places with four games to play.
Every match from now until the end of the season will carry a ‘must-win’ tag for the Robins, starting with in-form promotion chasers Chesham United at the Sports Ground on Saturday.
Chesham are on an eleven match winning streak, scoring 34 goals along the way, but Bideford have only lost one of their last eight at home and have kept six clean sheets during that period.
