Bideford looking to slow down Hereford’s charge to Southern League title

Bideford lock horns with the Bulls in Division One South and West tomorrow (Saturday).
Bideford manager Sean Joyce will have a full squad to call upon on Saturday as his side host Southern League Division One South and West leaders Hereford.
The visitors need a maximum of 10 points from their remaining nine games to take the title, but Joyce will be hoping his side can slow down the Bulls as they charge towards the title.
“With Saturday’s game [against Paulton Rovers] being off we are probably full strength – we should have everyone available,” he said.
“They’re off in the distance in this league but if we can slow it down or stop them we will do it.”
Hereford’s last game was abandoned amid controversy as supporters invaded the pitch, with two players confronting opponents Didcot Town’s goalkeeper.
But Joyce said that wouldn’t be a distraction for their opponents.
“They will push that under the carpet on Saturday,” he said.
“I expect them to come down and switch off from all that and concentrate on their football.
“The way our lads are playing, it doesn’t matter who it is.
“It will be a good chance to keep our momentum going.”
