Bideford 0-0 Poole Town

Bideford followed up their superb win over Hemel Hempstead on Saturday with a 0-0 draw at home to fellow play-off contenders Poole Town.

The Robins had to do their fair share of defending to record a second clean sheet in four days and a fourth in six games at the Sports Ground on Tuesday night, but they were able to pick up the point which keeps them fourth in Calor League Southern Premier.

Despite the game ending goalless, the 183-strong crowd were well entertained for long periods of the game, which flowed freely without producing a bucket load of chances.

But for all of the good passing play from both teams, it was the defences who came out on top as the game ended goalless.

The draw keeps Bideford well in play-off contention in fourth, although many of the teams immediately below them now have games in hand on the Robins.

Bideford face another tough test on Saturday, when they travel to sixth placed Stourbridge.
