Accies are cup winners

17:26 10 April 2012

Holders Braunton Reserves relinquished their grip on the Holman Cup after losing 3-2 to Pilton Academical in extra time in this year’s Easter Monday final.

Pilton took the initiative to go 2-0 up at half-time and although Braunton fought back to draw level, a Pilton goal in the first period of extra time decided the destination of the trophy.

Ben Walters, Anthony Higgs and Matt Hunt were the Pilton scorers, while Louis Murrell and Matt Hunnibell netted for Braunton.
