This week’s NDNL round-up

GEORGEHAM Rocks picked up their first win at their 11th attempt in division three of the North Devon Netball League.

Sarah Tucker controlled the mid-court from the start and Gemma Adams linked well with Laura Knapman to convert a number of goals.

Venners Misfits were close throughout but Georgeham maintained their momentum and positivity to win 24-21.

Also in division three, Carol Anne Quartz inflicted a first defeat this season on Chivenor Netters.

Quartz started strongly with accurate shooting from Holly Sherborne and although Chivenor fought back and Liezel Hugo defended very well they couldn’t catch up.

In division four, North Devon Homes took an early lead against Venners Pythons with Maxine White netting several long shots.

Pythons managed to keep up after the first quarter but were unable to close the gap.

Ellie Carter was once again on form for Carol Anne Jets and Steph Northcott lead Hartland Harriers to victory.

Titans Voyager caused an upset in division two, beating title contenders Bude Stars 39-37.

Helen Rogers read the game well and closed down space to prevent Bude from playing at their normal pace.

Millie White was superb yet again for Titans Pluto as they defeated Venners Shooting Scones. Pluto now top the division but club-mates Jupiter have a game in hand.
