Improvements help Bideford shooters hit the mark.
Two Bideford Target Shooting Club members have had success in the Exeter Summer League this year.
Clive Magson – who only started shooting last year – has won the best novice award for sport rifle, coming second in Division 11.
This was his best shoot of the season, making Clive the ninth most improved shooter overall.
Michael Coombs, shooting air pistol, improved massively on his starting average to become the most improved pistol shooter, with an increased performance of over 25%. He was also unbeaten in Division five, topping the table.
Alex Lane was the second-best junior in the league, and finished in fourth position in Division one – an excellent achievement given that division includes some of the top air pistol shooters in the county. Alex Raymont claimed a creditable fifth in the same division.
