Bideford Cricket Club U12s have won the Graham Harris Cup for the second successive year, beating Filleigh in the final at Westward Ho!.

The cup is contested by U12 teams from North Devon clubs and schools and the final was finally played after four previous attempts were defeated by the weather.

Filleigh made a good start, with Ollie Squire scoring 25 before retiring and Lewis Williams kept the score moving with 26, but the Bideford bowlers never let the total get away from them, restricting Filleigh to 107- 6.

The Bideford batsmen responded, with captain Carl Stanbury leading the way with an aggressive 28 before retiring. Helped by 53 extras from the Filleigh bowlers, Bideford were taken to victory by an excellent innings of 23 not out by Jamie Lathwell, with four overs to spare.
