Carlsberg South West Peninsula League round-up
Witheridge failed to score for a second consecutive game as they drew 0-0 with Camelford on Saturday.
Both teams came into the game in great form, having won four of their first five league games, but neither side could find a breakthrough.
Witheridge remain just two points off the top of the table, and now have a break from league action with a trip to Barnstaple Town in the FA Vase on Saturday.
DIV 1 EAST
Appledore remain unbeaten in Division One East after a 3-0 win over Exeter University at the weekend.
Shaun Copp was the hat-trick hero for the home side as the Fishermen recorded a third win in their first four games
They recorded a 2-1 win last Tuesday at Okehampton, thanks to goals from Sam Fishwick and a clever chip from Copp, who has impressed since signing from Ilfracombe Town.
Appledore will expect to add another three points when they travel to struggling Liverton United on Saturday, who have leaked 21 goals in their first three games.
DIV 1 WEST
Holsworthy fell to a third defeat in three games this season as Penryn Athletic ran out convincing 3-0 winners.
They travel to Penzance on Saturday looking to stop the rot and put their first points of the season on the board.
Despite their poor start, three other teams are also yet to score a point, so a win could see Holsworthy move as high as 13th.
