It was a great weekend for Clovelly, who followed up their Saturday league draw with Intermediate One leaders Ilfracombe 3rds by making progress in the Holman Cup next day with a 5-2 win over South Molton.
The match featured a hat-trick of ‘firsts’ for Clovelly.
With players unavailable, they had only the bare 11, including some who would not normally be playing.
Lewis Chalmers-Wood hit his first goal for the club, Allan Lawrence scored his first since returning after two years out following injury and veteran Ollie Keates scored his first goal ever for the club with a late penalty. Luke Arkless netted their other two.
