THREE young North Devon Army Cadets were members of a four-strong Devon team which beat 16 other teams to win the regional full bore shooting competition held at Tregantle Ranges near Plymouth.
Staff Serjeant Ellie Kinsella, Lance Corporal Ashley Goodhead and Cadet Alistair Clarke of C Company (North Devon) and Elise Connall from A Company (Exeter and East Devon) were overall winners in the 5.56mm shoot over 300 metres.
The team was trained by Captain Philip Clarke of Army Cadet Force HQ and Serjeant Dave Macbeth of Braunton detachment.
Shooting is one of many opportunities on offer to young people aged from 12 to 18 years through the ACF, which has 10 detachments across North Devon.
