That did not stop them giving a brave performance against a much heavier pack and the 49-15 reversal did not give Nomads the credit they deserved.

Nomads’ Man of the Match Richard Squire battled throughout the 80 minutes and led by example.

Curtis May touched down after catching a high swirling clearance from the hosts and centre Jake Brown added two tries with his trademark charging runs down the middle.

Mike Bissett and Andrew Beauchamp also put in brave performances in the front row and Mark Ashcroft stepped in to the scrum-half position with some authority.

The whole team deserved credit for battling to the end, having only 13 players for the final quarter in windswept conditions, constantly putting in the tackles to stop the relentless advance from their opponents.
