Riders pick up points in championship curtain raiser

A BRAUNTON based team got their British Superbikes challenge underway this week in the first round at Brands Hatch Indy.

Batham Ales BMW riders Michael Rutter and Patrick Muff both qualified inside the top ten for the opening round of this season’s championship on Sunday, with Rutter finishing 12th and 17th in the two races and Muff coming 14th in both races.

The results saw both riders pick up four points in the championship, ahead of round two at Oulton Park on May 3-5.
