Bideford Blues U11s add Twyford Tournament to recent wins
MORALE is high at Bideford Blues at the moment following yet another tournament win at the weekend.
After recent victories at Plymouth and Exeter, the U11s picked up the league trophy and then added the Twyford tournament to thei rapidly growing list of successes.
After winning a strong league group, the Blues were drawn against Heavitree Hoops in the quarter-final, reaching the next stage with a 3-0 win.
The semi-finals proved nerve-jangling, with the Blues eventually getting the better of Twyford Spartans 5-4 on sudden death penalties.
Bideford Blues met local rivals Braunton in the final, coming away 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Sam Wright and Oakey Prouse.
Player of the tournament was Sam Wright, who impressed by chipping in with 11 goals throughout the day.
