Bideford 3-0 Larkhall Athletic
Bideford picked up in the FA Cup where they left off in the league on their way to a 3-0 win over Larkhall Athletic.
The Robins were always comfortable against the Western League side, and took complete control of the game with two goals in five minutes just before half time.
Matt Bye’s corner was not dealt with properly by the visiting keeper, who could only flail into his own net to put Bideford ahead.
And they doubled their advantage just moments later through a stunning Owen Howe volley to go into the break two goals to the good.
Larkhall have looked good so far in the Western League, clocking up five wins in five games, but Bideford look to be an excellent side this term, and a third goal from Connor Clifford in the second half wrapped things up.
The Robins now progress to the second qualifying round of the cup, with the draw taking place on Monday.
As well as moving onto the next round of the world’s oldest cup competition, Bideford also put £3,000 in the bank with their win over Larkhall. They travel to Poole Town on Tuesday evening in the Calor Southern League Premier division.
