BIDEFORD U15s needed 30 minutes to run off the rust after a three-week lay off when they met Tiverton.
Bideford looked off the pace in the first half. However, after some initial good work, they scored through flying wing Josh Lindo.
Tiverton came back and capitalised on Bideford’s mistakes to turn round 15-5 up at half time.
The second half was a different story. Bideford raised the pace and intensity of the game with the back row of Priest, Kendrew and Laing ever-present.
The interplay between backs and forwards was too much for Tiverton to handle, resulting in tries from Reece Pearn (2), Hayden Morris, Joe Ashton Burke and Patrick Kendrew (2). Billy Cockwill kicked six conversions.
Bideford U9s played two matches against Okehampton, winning the first 45-15 and the second 50-30.
Try scorers were Matthew Lewis, Sam Abbott, William Walkey, Jacob Stevenson, Samual Piccolo, Joe Thompson and Danny Rodgers.
South Molton U14s were too strong for Torrington, cruising to a 60-5 win at Donnacroft.
Molton led 20-0 at the break and pulled away in the second half.
Torrie’s try came close to time when a crunching tackle by Patrick Stark dislodged the ball and Lewis Burton picked up to score.
Centre Billy Shambrook was Torrie’s man-of-the-match for his devastating tackle rate.
