Teenager set for World Moto Cross appearance after just missing National podium
Bideford moto cross rider Leighton Holmes competed in the final round of the National GT MX cup over the weekend.
The 18-year-old had a good weekend in Abingdon, Oxfordshire securing fifth overall for the weekend and fourth in the 125cc GT Youth National Moto Cross Championship, missing out on a podium by just a few points.
The young rider will now look forward to this weekend, when he will compete in the amateur class at the British GP of the World Moto Cross on a Husqvarna 250 prepared by Alex Buckingham Motorcycles. Holmes took on the event last year and is hoping to improve on his fifth place finish this time around.
