Poole Town 3-3 Bideford
Bideford were denied a fifth straight win in the Calor Southern League by a late Poole Town equaliser on Tuesday night.
The Robins remain unbeaten after the 3-3 draw away to the only other team in the division yet to be defeated.
The game burst into life early in the first half when Sean Downing put the visitors in front inside of two minutes.
But the Dorset outfit hit back well and were ahead themselves on 17 minutes after two quick goals.
And the match didn’t slow down as Craig Duff equalised and a 25-yard free-kick from Richard Groves put Bideford back in front – all in the first 35 minutes.
The Robins held on well until half time, and the game became much tighter in the second half as Bideford looked to be on course to record yet another win.
But Poole showed why they haven’t lost yet this season and popped up with an equaliser with two minutes to play to claim a point.
It is a sign of how far Sean Joyce’s side have come this season that Bideford may be disappointed with a point away to one of the better sides in the division.
Bideford are on the road again this weekend, when they travel to Arlesey Town on Saturday.
