Bideford 4-1 Chippenham Town
Bideford got back to winning ways after five games without a win in all competitions with a comprehensive 4-1 win over Chippenham Town on Tuesday.
The win extends their impressive unbeaten run in the league to 11 games, and comes on the back of three straight draws and two cup exits.
It also moves Bideford third in the Calor Southern League Premier division, which could become second if all results against the now-disbanded Hinckley United are made void.
Sean Downing put the Robins in front on 10 minutes from a Matt Bye corner, but Chippenham were level before half-time.
Owen Howe was tripped in the box on 65 minutes to give Bideford the perfect chance to re-claim the lead from the spot.
Captain Matt Hockley duly slotted in to put the home side back in the driving seat, and with ten minutes to go Ashley Yeoman scored his first goal back at the club since returning from a spell at Torquay United last week.
But two minutes later, Hockley stole the show with a stunning 30-yard volley to secure a valuable three points for Bideford.
Bideford should have been travelling to Hinckley United on Saturday, who were wound up last week and will play no further games in the Southern League.
The Robins play Taunton in the Red Insure Southern League cup on Tuesday evening.
