Bideford grabbed a 15-all draw against the Cornish All Blacks by landing a last-gasp penalty.
Bideford trained 10-7 at the break with John Mock scoring their try and Chris Snell kicking the conversion.
A second-half try by replacement flanker Jamie Giddy kept Bideford in the frame.
Snell potted a shot from 40 metres out to level it with the final kick of the match.
Few teams come away with much from Polson Bridge so Bideford team boss Bradley Goaman was delighted.
“It was a cracking match with both teams at full throttle,” said Goaman.
“We were delighted to get the draw and two points in a very tough environment and in front of 856 supporters.
“Our defence was awesome. Rob Elliott had a great game at 13, causing problems for the Cornish All Blacks in defence
“The whole team played extremely well - credit to all the players.”
Bideford have a week off to prepare for the visit of lowly Matson.
