Bideford 10 Miler sees home victory for Shaun Antell

Bideford Amateur Athlectic Club celebrated a victory for one of its own at Bideford 10 Miler on Sunday.

Bideford Amateur Athletic Club’s Shaun Antell stormed to victory on home soil at Sunday’s Bideford 10 Miler.

Antell was almost three minutes clear when he crossed the line at Bideford Quay in a time of 51mins and 19secs.

Following the Bideford runner in second was Steve Osborne, who took second place with a time of 54mins and 19secs.

Tavistock Run Project’s Jim Cole was just behind, crossing the line in 54mins and 23secs to take third place.

Antell was one of three Bideford AAC runners in the top 10, with Shaun Patton (56:23) finishing fifth and Jamie Blackman (58:38) crossing ninth overall.

There were also top 10 finishes for North Devon Athletics Club’s Callum Choules, who finished sixth with a time of 57mins and 39 secs, and South Molton Strugglers’ Mike Clark, who crossed in 58mins and 57secs in to finish 10th.

The fastest female was Hannah Taunton, who finished with a time of 1hr, 0mins and 37secs.

Tiverton Harrier Serane Stone was second fastest, and the winner of the female V40 category with a time of 1hr and 1min.

Katie Synge was the third fastest female, with a time of 1hr, 3mins and 29secs.
