BIDEFORD U14s held out under pressure to defeat Wadebridge 17-12.

Bideford started the game with pressure from the forwards and a Frazer Preist interception led to a Jake Bailey try.

Hayden Morris converted to make the score 7-0.

Wadebridge came back hard with a well-worked try of their own, making Biddy work a bit harder to get a further tries before half time from Michael Smith and Josh Lindo.

The second half started with Wadebride pulling back seven points.

With the score now 17-12 to Biddy the last 10 minutes were nail biting.

Wadebridge camped on Biddys line, but great all-round defence and quick thinking from Scott Craner to get underneath the ball stopped a match-winning try.

Bideford U8s enjoyed three close games against Barnstaple.

Bideford Lions won 30-20 against Barnstaple Buccs.

Barnstaple Stages beat Bideford Sharks 25-20

Barnstaple Stags won 10-5 against Bideford Lions.

Try scores for Bideford were Adam Leworthy, William Walkey, Jacob Stevenson, Samuel Picillo and Matthew Lewis.
