In a game of two penalties, Northside scored while Hartland missed.

Hartland keeper Josh Wood made a double-save from Matt Cann before Northside captain Neil Armstrong scored from the spot.

Northside’s Shaun Wilson was shown a straight-red but Hartland rarely tested Northside keeper Dan Barnes.

On 80 minutes Hartland’s Alex Slee – who had previously knocked in 17 out of 17 attempts from the spot – hit the post.

Northside held out for the final few minutes and the winners’ shield was presented to their captain Neil Armstrong.

There was a minute’s silence before the game in honour of Mike Stevens and his work for North Devon football. Mike was well known to both teams and Northside dedicated their win to him.
