Shop local, election candidate tells rivals
A General Election candidate is challenging his opponents to use local goods and services during the forthcoming campaigns.
Rodney Cann, who is fighting the North Devon seat as an Independent, said he was surprised to see literature from rivals which had been printed outside the region.
"A Liberal Democrat leaflet was printed in Andover, one from UKIP in Bodmin and a Conservative leaflet in Bicester, Oxfordshire," he said.
"We hear a lot about the need to support local business and Barnstaple becoming a ghost town and yet here they are using printers from away.
"I always try to use local printers and I challenge my opponents to do the same. It is right that we should support local firms.
