Veteran call
THE Aden Veterans' Association Barnstaple Group is urging more local veterans of the conflict to get in touch.
The Barnstaple group - the largest in the South West with approximately 30 members - meets on the first Saturday of every month at the Ex-Servicemen's Club in St George's Road, Barnstaple, at 12noon.
"The group is open to all veterans who fought in the campaign, whether ex-Army, RAF or Navy," member Walter Fowler said.
"It's a great place to meet up and share stories and, last year, we even managed to get a campaign medal awarded to one of our veterans who hadn't received his decoration."
