FOLK in North Devon are certainly doing their bit to help boost the number of trees in the region.
While hundreds of green-fingered volunteers are set to take part in a tree planting world record on Saturday, Fremington youngsters have been busy helping to plant 30 saplings at Fremington School.
Fremington Toddler Group, which meets on Thursdays in the scout hut, received the saplings from the Woodland Trust as part of the Sainsbury's Active kids Voucher scheme.
"The whole school is involved in planting the saplings in the new woodland area," said Fremington Toddler Group spokesperson Heather Fieldsend.
