Britain's Got Talent stuntman parties for pre-school
FAMOUS stuntman Merlin Cadogan will be appearing as ringmaster on Thursday at the Snapdragon's Circus Party in Westward Ho! for a special celebration.
Snapdragon's Pre-school at Northam is to receive a new building after being awarded Government funding, meaning its youngsters can move out of their temporary building and into a new purpose built home.
Now the not-for-profit group needs to begin fund raising to collect enough money to pay for new furniture, kitchen equipment and other essential items to outfit their new home, which will be built from scratch somewhere in the Northam area.
To make a start on the total, tomorrow's party at Braddicks Elizabethan will offer plenty of family fun from 5-7pm, with Britain's Got Talent finalist and local celebrity Merlin plus a stilt walker in the shape of a lion, stalls, activities, face painting and refreshments.
Merlin will be running juggling workshops before performing on the evening, with assistance from guest of honour Councillor Andrew Eastman.
Organiser Sarah Cadogan, who is a member of the pre-school committee but also happens to be Merlin's wife, said:
"It's fantastic that they are giving us this new building, but we need to equipment it with an oven, a fridge, furniture and all the contents," she said.
"Snapdragons is the only independent pre-school in the Northam and Westward Ho! area and we're not-for-profit, so all the proceeds are spent on the children."
Entry is £2 for the under 10s whilst the rest of the family get to see the show for free! Why not go along to the Elizabethan on Thursday for a fun packed time? For more information or if you would like to help with the fund raising appeal, email snapdragonsnortham@live.co.uk.
