More for less ticket on North Devon bus route

Bus users in North Devon are enjoying reduced price fares on Service 1/2 (Westward Ho!/Appledore - Barnstaple via Northam, Bideford, Instow, Fremington and Bickington) as First Devon and Cornwall has introduced a new "More for Less" ticket

The company has cut fares to as little as 50p for some journeys, and has also developed a special buy one get one free coupon offer on a cup of coffee for customers, too - perfect to help people keep warm while they wait for their bus!



The More for Less ticket means customers travelling between Northam and Bideford will pay just 50p to travel between the two towns. Those people wanting to travel further, between Westward Ho! and Barnstaple for instance will pay £1.90 for the 11-mile trip - less than other bus operators in the area charge.



The maximum single fare for any one journey on Service 1/2 will be £1.90. All buses operating on Service 1/2 are super low floor vehicles, meaning that those in wheelchairs or those travelling with pushchairs will find them easily accessible.



First Devon and Cornwall's Managing Director Marc Reddy said: "Buses on Service 1/2 run up to every 10 minutes providing local people with numerous opportunities to travel. What's more all the vehicles on this route are super low floor meaning that accessibility for those with mobility problems or those travelling with buggies or shopping trolleys is improved. We hope people will make good use of this new cheaper ticket, and the associated coffee deal, getting out and about in the area with their friends and family."



The buy one get one free offer on coffee has been developed in association with Pasty Presto, and is valid on presentation of a valid bus ticket or concession travel pass with a special More for Less voucher, at the outlet in Barnstaple High Street.
