BECOME undead for a day and join what is thought to be Devon's first ever zombie walk in a grand parade at Barnstaple Carnival this September.
An army of the living dead - with tongue firmly in cheek - is planning to rise en masse from its grave to walk the streets and help raise money.
Volunteers have been invited by organisers RAM UK 69 Films to join the shuffling masses in the carnival on Saturday, September 20.
Ryan Martin of RAM UK 69 said zombies would be shambling amongst spectators with collection tins for carnival charities and on behalf of little Cohin Maskell, aged two, a local lad with cerebral palsy.
They hope to buy a specialised tricycle which would enable him to play and help build up his legs so he has a chance of walking when he is older.
"Join our army of zombie walkers or crawlers, we would love to see as many as possible," said Ryan.
"No one is going to be running around scaring everyone, it will just be good fun - all you need are old trousers, a T-shirt, rip them a little, add black and white face paint, fake blood or ketchup."
