CHULMLEIGH Youth Centre has a bright new look – thanks to the efforts of young people and a local artist.

Braunton mural artist Conor Wilson joined forces with 25 youngsters to plan and paint the colourful scene on the side of the centre at Chulmleigh Community College.

They drew sketches together, took photos and designed a mural which was projected on to the wall of the youth club at night and then stencilled and painted onto the building.

The work was finished last year but officially unveiled this week.

Councillor Stuart Barker, Devon County Council’s cabinet member for youth services said: “What a great idea, especially working with a local artist.”
