Former North Devon Animal Ambulance treasurer in court over £100,000 fraud allegations.
A Yelland accountant and former treasurer of North Devon Animal Ambulance is to appear in court charged with allegedly taking money from the charity totalling almost £100,000.
Jennifer Colenso, aged 69 and from West Yelland, is scheduled to appear at North Devon Magistrates in Barnstaple on Friday, January 6 to face eight counts of fraud and two of theft.
Mrs Colenso, who owns a local accountancy business called Colenso & Co, was arrested on February 16 this year and charged with the offences when she answered her bail on Thursday.
The eight fraud charges are for amounts ranging from £4,642 up to £23,634, while the theft charges relate to an amount of £3,652 and an amount of unknown value.
