Friday drama after vehicle ends up trapped down a steep slope.

EMERGENCY services were called to Woolacombe on Friday evening after a car left the road and plunged down a steep hill.

Police said they were called just after 7pm to find the vehicle had ended up trapped in bushes on the steep slope.

The only occupant, a woman from the Ilfracombe area, was rescued by fire fighters and taken to North Devon District Hospital by South Western Ambulance Service with what appeared to be minor injuries. Coastguard teams were also in attendance.
