A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital yesterday (Sunday) morning after becoming stuck underneath a tractor at Bradworthy.

The tractor overturned at Atworthy Cross at around 9.30am, trapping the 46-year-old and causing police and two fire crews to race to the scene.

The woman was rescued from underneath the tractor by fire fighters using hydraulic rescue equipment.

She was taken to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance but a police spokesman said her injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

The road was cleared at 12.40pm.
