Fire crews are cutting the casualty free and the road remains closed following the collision this afternoon.

A 21-year-old woman had to be cut from a car by fire crews after a collision on the A361 at West Down this afternoon (Thurs)

The collision involved a Toyota Rav 4 and the driver was trapped in the car.

Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the scene outside the Fox Hunter’s Inn at 3.55pm.

Road closures are in place from Braunton Fire Station and a police unit is currently at Mullacott roundabout assisting with traffic.

A police spokesman said the woman was complaining of neck pain but the extent of her injuries were not yet known.

Police are still at the scene and traffic delays are expected.
