Holiday parks company donates £10,000 to the appeal.
JOHN Fowler Holidays has presented £10,000 to the Chemotherapy Appeal.
The donation by the company’s Project Ilfracombe initiative saw the holiday park at Ilfracombe welcome numerous local organisations as more than £40,000 was given out in grants.
“We are extremely grateful to John Fowler and all at John Fowler Holiday Parks for making this generous donation towards helping those locally who will be using our Chemotherapy and Day Treatment Unit,” said appeal fundraising manager Ian Roome.
“John is hoping this donation will encourage others to give to local charities. He is a fantastic supporter of the Chemotherapy Appeal and the hospital charity as a whole.”
Other groups or good causes which benefitted from grants included the local school, churches, rugby and football clubs as well as the RNLI, Ilfracombe Pilot Gig Club, Ilfracombe in Bloom, Victorian week, the Town Crier, Ilfracombe Rotary Club, Ilfracombe Bandstand, Sure Start and Cancer Research UK.
