The A399 at Watermouth will be closed for a maximum of five days while resurfacing is carried out
Motorists travelling from Combe Martin to Ilfracombe will have to use a 15-mile diversion during the daytime from tomorrow (Thursday).
The A399 at Watermouth will be closed from 8am-5pm Thursday, Friday and Monday between the Berrynarbor turning at Mill Lane and Watermouth Harbour for resurfacing work.
It will be open during the weekend as no works will be taking place then.
A signed diversion will be place directing traffic via the A361 to Lynton Cross and the A3123 to Berry Down and vice versa.
The closure notice is for a maximum of five days, but it is not clear whether the entire road will be closed for that time.
Access will be allowed for those accessing land or premises within the closure.
