The town could have a weekly street food market throughout the summer - but organisers need to know by tomorrow (Thursday)!

AN urgent SOS has gone out to all street food vendors in North Devon who are looking for a pitch in Ilfracombe.

Following the great success of the first ever North Devon Street Food Awards on Saturday, organiser Events 4 Ilfracombe has been asked if it wants to organise a regular street food market on the seafront.

But to get a licence in time it must give an answer by tomorrow (Thursday, July 17) and is urgently appealing for any vendors who wish to take part to get in touch immediately.

It is hoped to book the seafront area for four or five dates during the school holidays, possibly ounce a week in August and at least six vendors would be needed.

Events 4 Ilfracombe needs to know what dates and times would be best for the majority, as well as the level of interest out there.

  • This would be great for the town and make good use of a wasted area. I walked through on the Saturday and thought it was great.
