ONE person was taken to hospital following an accident at the Sticklepath roundabout in Barnstaple earlier today (Friday).

Two fire engines, police and paramedics were called to the scene of the two-vehicle crash involving a yellow Renault Kangoo and a blue Ford SMax Zetec, at 11.15am.

The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police said the road re-opened at around 1pm.
