A little accident caused problems for traffic flow on Taw Bridge in Barnstaple this afternoon (Tuesday) after a portable toilet toppled over.

Witnesses said the plastic loo had apparently blown off a trailer and left a bit of a mess, with toilet paper strewn everywhere and trapped in the guard barrier.

It is understood the blockage is now cleared and traffic moving again after the errant loo was recovered.

It is not known if the chemical toilet was full or empty at the time of the incident…
