Police appeal after fight on Tarka Trail near Torrington

Runner in red t-shirt may have ‘vital information’ after clash between JCB driver and another runner on August 24

Witnesses are being sought after a fight on the Tarka Trail near Torrington between a JCB driver and a runner.

Police said the JCB telehandler driver, a 54-year-old Torrington man, was punched in the face and sustained a head injury and the other man also sustained minor injuries.

They are keen to trace another runner in a red t-shirt, who may have witnessed the incident on the trail near Tucking Mill on Sunday, August 24 between 5.30-6.30pm.

Police believe this man may have vital information and have urged him to come forward.
