Michelin star experienced chef Jean-Marc Zanetti appointed as new executive chef at The Coach House Restaurant.
A celebrated French chef and long-standing colleague of Michael Caines MBE has taken on the position of executive chef at Kentisbury Grange.
Jean-Marc Zanetti brings his talent and passion for fine dining to North Devon and The Coach House Restaurant at the 17th century Grange, marking the restaurant’s first anniversary.
Jean-Marc most recently worked as executive chef for Mr Caines at the successful ABode restaurant in Canterbury, before joining The Coach House team.
With a passion for gastronomy since childhood, he attended catering college before sharpening his skills in some of the Europe’s most renowned kitchens, including several Michelin star restaurants in Burgundy and the south of France.
“I believe good food should consist of the best and freshest local and regional ingredients,” he said.
“In Devon we are lucky to be surrounded by so many passionate suppliers of high quality produce, such as fresh fish from the Lundy coast.”
He has received many accolades throughout his career and his creative flair adds an innovative twist to both modern and classic dishes.
Jean-Marc also spent more than 10 years working alongside Mr Caines as chef de partie at the famous Gidleigh Park, during the time the restaurant gained its two Michelin stars.
Mr Caines is no stranger to The Coach House, making an appearance in February to christen the new kitchen and tantalise guests with a spectacular culinary experience.
