The Victorians are back in Ilfracombe

Don’t miss all the fun of the traditional Trinity Fair plus a packed Ilfracombe Victorian week from Saturday, June 7 to June 15.

ALL the fun of the traditional Trinity Fair returns to Ilfracombe tomorrow (Saturday) with the start of the town’s Victorian Celebrations.

Dressed in their best finery from the days of Empire, the Victorians accompanied by bands and Queen Victoria herself, will parade along the High Street at 1.45pm, making their way to St Brannocks Vicarage.

The fair opens at 2pm and there will be stalls, sideshows such as coconut shy, skittles and hoopla, as well as cream teas, cakes, barbecue and much more.

Prizes will be given for best dressed Victorians in all age groups.

There is much more going on throughout the week, including the ‘American Victorians’ from Monday, with shoot ‘em ups in the High Street plus the chance to visit an authentic Western encampment of Tuesday and Thursday.
