Two young men ‘threatened’ on Tarka Trail in Barnstaple

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident on the Tarka Trail near Anchor Woods in Barnstaple.

Police are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers were were threatened while walking on the Tarka Trail.

The 13- and 16-year-old were walking near Anchor Woods on Saturday, July 29, at around 4.15pm, when they encountered two men.

The men, who were both riding mountain bikes, verbally abused and threatened them, said police.

The suspects are described as aged 18-to-20-years-old, with one around 6ft 3in with short brown hair and a broad build, wearing a grey coat.

The other was desciribed as having short, dark hair, with a spotty complexion.
