Freewheelers awarded charity of the year by Sainsburys store.

DEVON Freewheelers has been awarded charity of the year for the second year running.

Sainsburys South Molton chose the emergency courier service as its top charity.

“We were so impressed at the energy they put into supporting the store’s fundraising efforts that we felt they deserved a second year,” said South Molton PR Ambassador Charlotte Hall.

The store raised an impressive £3,374 for the charity, twice the amount raised the year before.

Devon Freewheelers CEO, Daniel Lavery said, “Our service is funded entirely through donations and the generosity of businesses and the public and every penny counts.

“We would like to say a heartfelt thank you.”

The charity provides a free out-of-hours courier service to the NHS transporting vital medical supplies to hospitals across the county.
