Get ready for ‘quacky’ races’ in Braunton this August bank holiday Monday (August 28) with ‘Bran Duck’ and friends as the St Brannock’s Annual Duck Race.

Racing starts at noon and there will also be lots to see and do around the church and at St Brannocks Rooms.

There will be a wide range of stalls to browse from cakes and preserves to books and bric-a-brac, plus fun games of chance such as Higher or Lower, 100 Squares and the Treasure on Treasure Island.

Plus there will be a tombola and a grand raffle.

Children can enjoy the bouncy castle and pony rides in the churchyard, which are fully supervised with safety equipment provided.

A barbecue and cream teas will also be served all day.

There will also be guided tours of the historic St Brannock’s Parish Church.

All proceeds will go towards the church.

Ducks will be on sale all day and the racing will take place throughout the afternoon.
