THE Coaching Inn at South Molton is hosting a charity Food and Quiz Night for WAND on Saturday, June 14 – with a former town mayor as quizmaster.

Councillor Stephen Lock will be asking the questions from 6.30pm, with all proceeds from the event going to the North Devon charity, which offers advice and support on mental health issues via its helpline.

Tickets for the event are £5 and are available from the pub on 01769 572526.

WAND volunteer Simon Harvey has been delighted with the response from North Devon business since approaching them to help raise money.

Earlier this year the Lowry Gallery at South Molton held a wine tasting which raised £195, while Green Lanes Café in Barnstaple raised £450.
