Jacqui Footman is looking forward to being part of South Molton Town Council
The newest member of South Molton Town Council is keen to serve her community.
Jacqui Footman was elected following a by-election on January 11, with 311 votes, bringing the Liberal Democrat numbers on the council to five.
Independent candidate Ron Herniman polled 237, with Labour’s Steven Hinchliffe on 199.
A retired teacher who taught at Chulmleigh and Park School, Jacqui runs her own health and wellbeing coaching practice in South Molton.
She has lived in the town for 17 years and prior to the election she said: “During that time I have met with nothing but friendship, I felt really welcome and I would love to serve this community.”
Jacqui has worked as a volunteer nationally and locally, including with the South Molton ME Support Group and the North Devon Autism Forum.
She also represents the community at health stakeholder meetings with the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
