A PLANNING application has been submitted for a solar array at Cross Farm in Holsworthy.

The proposals to Torridge District Council by W J Watkins and Son Ltd outline plans for 1000 panels situated in five rows on land at the farm.

A design and access statement said the panels would have an estimated annual production of 239,500 kWh – the equivalent of powering 70 properties.

A decision on the application is due next month.
